WhiteStar's
National Well Database
includes millions of well spots collected from each of the oil and gas
producing states. We offer oil and gas well location and status, header
information (varies by state). This dataset works seamlessly
with WhiteStar Public Land Survey, Texas Land Survey, and Enhanced Culture
Databases.
Data
Source
WhiteStar's National Well Database is
collected from each of the oil and gas producing states.
Enhancement
The entire
National Well Database has been processed to have consistent data
formats and attribute names. Using ESRI GIS technology, WhiteStar
has computed well locations from their legal descriptions to generate
highly accurate well coordinates
in Public Land Survey states where footages are provided.
Content
Wells (non-Texas):
Data consists of well locations and header information reported by
oil and gas producing states. Based on individual state reporting requirements,
the data may include API number, API extension, well name, well number,
operator name, well status, drill date, plug date, producing formation,
total depth, field name, well elevation, elevation type, state identifier,
meridian, township, range, section, footages, quarter/quarter description,
and latitude/longitude.
Wells (Texas):
Data consists of well locations and header information for all wells in
the State of Texas.
Each well may include the following attributes:
- Well Location data - Latitude/Longitude coordinates, well status,
API number (if available). API numbers are available for wells
drilled since the inception of the API Numbering program
in 1977.
When API numbers are not available, we generate a unique
identification number to populate that field.
- Well Information data (available for wells with API number) - well
name and number, operator name, lease name, lease and gas ID
number, permit number, total depth, field reservoir,
and completion and plug dates.
Petrobase Database (Kansas):
Petrobase Digital Well Database for western and central Kansas includes
well locations and header information, formation tops, drill stem tests,
and perforated intervals for 149,000 wells dating from the 1800's. This
high-quality database is the most complete and extensively edited data
available for this area.
